How to make White Mexican Cheese Dip - The Secret is Out!

Cheese Dip. Oh sooooo delicious!

I know most of what I do revolves around Nutrition and Fitness, but I sometimes let people know that I am human. So, Today I am going to confess that I love Cheese Dip. Not just any cheese dip.

The kind of Cheese Dip that I am talking about is the White Cheese Dip that you get from the Mexican Restaurants here in America.

For so long, I wanted to find this White Cheese Dip in a store so that I could make it at home and for parties.

I looked and tried so many cheeses trying to find out what the secret recipe is. I asked so many people and no one could tell me. I looked on the internet and I could not find the recipe.

Many times I asked the people at the restaurants and they would not tell me!!! UGGGH!

Well, one day I asked this guy that I knew at a local Mexican Restaurant. He knew me just because I ate there many times. Ha Ha

Well, I begged him to tell me this secret formula. He looked all around, like he was about to break a law or something, then said this to me: "Go to the store that has 'Land-o-Lakes' 'White American Cheese' in the deli section. That is what cheese it is! Mix it with some milk and that is it!"

Well, after experimenting with it a couple of times, here is how to make White Mexican Cheese Dip and it is the REAL DEAL!!!

  1. Go to the Deli Section of your local grocery store and ask for "Land-o-Lakes" White American Cheese and ask them to slice it 1" thick. A 1"slice will make 1 cereal size bowl of dip.
  2. Take one of the slices and break it into cubes and place in a cereal size bowl.
  3. Pour milk in the bowl with the cheese. Fill the bowl about 1/2 way. (optional: add 1/2 teaspoon of butter)
  4. Put bowl in the microwave and heat on high for 2 minutes, then stir.
  5. Put back in the microwave and heat on high for 1 more minute, then stir for at least a minute.
  6. Repeat step five over and over until the cheese dip is smooth.
  7. (optional) if you want to chop some jalapanos an put on top, that is great too.

If you want to do this on the stove top or for a big batch of it, just put the ingredients in a pot or in a crock pot and heat on low. Stir occasionally.

Well, there you have it the word is out. Don't tell anyone that I told you, I don't know what might happen. People may be enjoying too much cheese dip and tell every body how to make it, then what? JK

I hope that you enjoy eating and sharing this site with others!

There will be more to come, so please subscribe and leave me a comment too!
